Do Not Vote for Dick Gordon!

with 106 comments

Yes! You’ve heard me right! After months of advocating change in this site,  after months of campaigning for this candidate.. I actually made up my mind.. DO NOT VOTE FOR DICK GORDON!

I’ve had a change of heart. I am now convinced that Villar can take us out of poverty because he’s that damn good or Noynoy can stop corruption because of his moral stand! I also believe now that Erap isn’t really a criminal and is actually a President that I’ll side with more than I will for teh Dick, I tell you now.. don’t vote for him!

Don’t vote for Dick Gordon because I want a candidate with a surname. I mean, Dick Gordon’s father died while fighting corruption but who cares, he’s not as famous as CORY or NINOY. Don’t vote for Dick Gordon because I want someone rich who came from poverty.. who cares if he’s been into several corruption scandals before, yes I’ll vote for Manny Villar over Dick!  Don’t vote for Dick Gordon because he hasn’t been in jail before like my other idol, the guy who took him out of Subic, Joseph Estrada! Yes sir, I’ll take those guys over Dick Gordon!

Also, don’t vote for Dick Gordon because I don’t like people who takes a stand for what they believe in. I like people without an actual resolve.  Don’t vote for Dick Gordon because he has an actual track record, what he did in Subic, Olongapo, Wow Philippines in the Senate doesn’t matter! As long as you’re being endorsed by Willie Revillame, OKAY KA SAKIN! And also don’t vote for Dick Gordon because PLATFORMS and actual  RECORDS doesn’t matter, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HAVE YOUR MOTHER DIE AND YOU HAVE MY VOTE!

I’m also not voting for Dick Gordon because after I graduate I don’t want to have a decent job.. I want the system in our public schools to stay that way because we don’t give enough compensation to our teachers.. I want more doctors to stoop down the level of nurses and work in other countries. That’s what I want! That’s why I WONT VOTE FOR DICK GORDON!

Lastly, I want this country to stall.. more people without jobs, more people starving. I DON’T WANT CHANGE! THAT’S WHY I AM NOT VOTING FOR DICK GORDON!

/ps, if you didn’t detect my sarcasm then you’re a certified supporter of Manny Villar, Noynoy Aquino and Joseph Estrada.

    May 4, 2010 at 7:57 AM

  10. this has nothing to do with politics. whoever this bassman500 is, i want to give him a lesson. doctors were never a level higher than us nurses! and our decision to work abroad does NOT make us lesser persons. be careful with what you say.

    May 4, 2010 at 8:08 AM

    • Apologies if I offended you, I shouldn’t have used “Stoop down” as my term.

Regarding the entry, as I’ve said no offense meant, it’s a noble job that you guys are doing. But what exactly am I pointing out in this entry? It’s not that people WORKING in the other country are “lesser” type of persons.. I have many relatives working in the other countries as nurses and engineers but what I’m trying to point out here is that we’re going to have an option.

Right now, nasan ang nurses natin? Nasa ibang bansa. Bakit? Mahina kasi kita rito and I can’t blame them. Ano nangyayari satin? Same goes with the doctors, nasan ang mga doctors natin? Zero.

That’s what I’m trying to point out. I’m not trying to offend you guys.. I salute you for doing what you HAVE to do for your family and for your country narin (Dollars, exchange rate) pero iba ang pinopoint out ko dito and I hope you understand.

      May 4, 2010 at 1:09 PM

    • I was going to say the same thing. I admit, the sarcasm made for an interesting read but there were actually a few other unnecessarily offensive statements here (to me at least). For one, I didn’t like the tone that I was getting with the mention of Ninoy and Cory (especially with Cory’s death what with the all caps and bold effect). I am voting for Dick Gordon as well, so this isn’t a Noynoy candidate being “pikon,” let me make that clear. I’m just saying, have some respect for these people.

Speaking of respect, I also think that we can promote our candidate without having to shoot down the others (however tempting it may be hehe). In my circle of friends, iba-iba kasi talaga yung sinusuportahan namin. I saw how their decision to support their respective candidate was well thought of and so I have learned to respect that. Like I read somewhere on Facebook, just because we differ in who we’re voting for, it doesn’t make one smarter than the other. It all really boils down to respect. I don’t think there’s ever an excuse to not show anyone at least the minimum amount of respect.

My last point: I hate how there’s this stereotype already of Gordon supporters. How we’re so keen on shooting down not just other candidates but also SUPPORTERS of these candidates. And it’s sad ’cause I find it hard to say, “hey that’s not true” cause it’s just everywhere. What’s worse, I can see how people are now associating this “arrogance” with Dick himself. Let’s show them that we don’t need to find the failures in the other candidates – that Gordon’s achievements alone are enough make for a strong argument as to why we believe that he is the best man for the job.

      Good day and mabuhay! 🙂

      May 4, 2010 at 9:57 PM

      • Point taken.

It’s just a way of leveling the playing field I guess. I also mean no disrespect to the souls of Ninoy and Cory, given with what they have done in this country, but things are getting out of hand. People are voting for Noynoy not because they like him, but because he’s the son of Ninoy and Cory (Atleast most of the voters are thinking this way) hence the bolded part.

I really don’t get why people are making a big deal out of his “arrogance” the truth hurts ika nga and at the end of the day, it’s how you’ll get the job done right without stepping over someone. That’s what we should be talking about, not the temper of one candidate. Thomas Jefferson, one of the better American presidents was known for his short temper.. pero it doesn’t matter, he gets the job done.

Apologies if I offended you sir.

        May 5, 2010 at 12:44 AM

      • “Ma’am” actually but i digress 🙂

        May 5, 2010 at 1:12 AM

    • I beg to differ. To say “doctors were never a level higher than us nurses” is just wrong. Doctors have to go through med school and get their residency at the least. No one in their right mind should claim that doctors and nurses are equal because they just aren’t. Granted that both are needed in the medical field, the roles they play are a lot different. Do not think too highly of yourself, you should give credit when credit is due. I’m not trying to offend anybody here, I’m just saying that being a nurse is just not the same as being a doctor.

      May 5, 2010 at 6:22 AM

  11. I must say you’re a funny yet smart guy. Hahaha. I was on LP’s side then, but this post and the videos changed my mind. :>

    May 4, 2010 at 12:33 PM

  12. Awww, guess I didn’t detect your sarcasm because I know many voters who despise Gordon. I’d rather vote for someone who’s genuine at heart than someone who’s too obnoxious and full of himself =)

    May 4, 2010 at 1:36 PM

    • Despise him? Yeah, despise him for being straight forward about the situation here in our country? Common mentality of the Filipino people.

Too full of himself? Why the fuck not? If I’ve done half of what he’s done before I’d be “full” of myself too. Genuine at heart? What are your parameters? What is your basis when you’re labeling one candidate “Genuine at heart”? How about knowing about the massacre of protesting farmers and not doing anything about it? That’s genuine at heart! How about getting hundreds of millions of pesos from the tax payer’s money? That’s genuine at heart! Or how about being convicted for plunder? Genuine din yan!

Give me a fucking a break. Genuine at heart my ass.

      May 4, 2010 at 2:17 PM

      • Good one! GO GORDON!

        May 4, 2010 at 4:17 PM

      • Aww, looks like I hit a raw nerve there =) Hahaha.

Open your eyes dudes, never trust that your purrty Gordon is too clean and great because he went to Harvard and that he had many accomplishments. Ask yourselves, is he any different with Gloria? I say NO. They’d go the same direction — from high achiever and well educated politician to one of the most corrupt presidents we’ll ever have. Gordon even said Gloria shouldn’t be accounted for what is happening to her because she is only a victim. Like wtf is that.

Fyi, I based that ‘genuine at heart’ on a candidate’s commitment ever since he joined politics. And I’m not talking about Noynoy and that Laban shit, nor Villar’s pretentious pro-poor slogan. Go figure.

        May 5, 2010 at 12:31 PM

      • Cite some cases, give me an example on WHY Gordon will go the same way as Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. If you won’t be able to come up with an acceptable and some clear cut evidences on how Gordon will go the same path as Mrs.Arroyo then it only goes to prove that you’re talking right out of your ass.

And oh, do some research, Gordon didn’t go to Harvard. Studied in Ateneo for Pre-Law then took law at UP.

Last point, Gordon has said on countless interviews that IF the supreme court holds Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo accountable for all the things she did, then he will completely support the SC’s decision. If you can give me the link of that “She’s only a victim” claim of yours, then maybe, just maybe I’ll change my mind.

Until then, go talking right out of your ass.

        May 5, 2010 at 10:15 PM

  13. […] can change it and believe me, not even the guy with a so-called “Genuine at Heart” as one poster in my previous article said, can […]

  14. why GIBO?:) kasi you can’t say anything against him? why not GORDON? because GIBO can do better than him :p

    May 4, 2010 at 6:12 PM

    • How exactly can Gibo do better than him? What HAS GIBO done in the past that will make me say that Gibo is a better choice than Richard Gordon?

One reason why I didn’t include Mr.Teodoro in this entry is because, you’re right, I really have no issues against him other than some fuck ups during the DND Secretary, after that.. he’s fine with me. It’s a matter of preference between him, Dick and Perlas for me and I chose Dick because Gordon is actually the one who has lots of experience working under the executive branch.

      May 4, 2010 at 8:05 PM

    • Bakit wala si Bro. Eddie?

      May 5, 2010 at 4:43 PM

  15. Damn. Before I read this one, I thought this was an issue against Gordon. So i became curious reading this. Haha… Same stories. I’m waiting for the results of Psychiatric Test. I hope Noynoy Aquino soon approve to take that test.

    May 4, 2010 at 6:33 PM

  16. Good. You succeeded in persuading me not to vote for Gordon. You’re right! thanks! Now I made my mind to vote for noynoy! He’s anti-corruption stand will hand us to development. It is assured like what you said, he has a NAME to take care of. Thus, what he’s about to do will just for the good of the country and nothing less! GO NOY! Thank you for making up my mind! I owe you this one!

    May 4, 2010 at 6:33 PM

    • Congratulations brother, you’ve just added another vote to another incompetent candidate, I’m glad I helped.

      May 4, 2010 at 8:05 PM

      • How did you know he’s incompetent? Anyway, I thank you for this!:)) I know many of us have realized the importance of our candidates! kudos to you!

        May 4, 2010 at 9:11 PM

      • @Kala: 9 years under the legislative branch, 9 bills passed 0 enacted into law.

Dick Gordon spent 6 years under the legislative branch and passed 207 bills, 13 of which got enacted into law.

What has Noynoy done in the past? Other than “lumaban” of course ika nga ni Pareng Pacquiao.

        May 5, 2010 at 12:37 AM

      • natutulog lang yan sa senado..

        Richelle Inso Lopez

        May 6, 2010 at 11:03 PM

    • If you’re this stupid to say something like this, you might as well vote for Noynoy.

      May 4, 2010 at 11:09 PM

      • @Meekins: I don’t know on who are you replying to, but if you’re replying to what I said to Mr Kala above then I suggest you get your sarcasm radar up.

        May 5, 2010 at 12:28 AM

      • LOL. What you guys act may be the reflection of YOUR candidate! Nice try!:)) The elections is between GIBO and NOY. Sorry.

        May 5, 2010 at 2:09 PM

  17. Sarcasm written all over your face. hehehe.. but this is nice.. and I see your point.. 😀

anyways, If i were a registered voter (and it sucks that i’m not yet reg’d.),I would surely vote and choose between Gordon and Gibo..

“I want more doctors to STOOP DOWN THE LEVEL of nurses and work in other countries” (this hurts though)

but this is nice. would you allow me to link this?

    May 4, 2010 at 10:23 PM

    • No offense meant sa nurses part. I love nurses dude, really. I just used it as an example.

Go ahead, link away. My pleasure.

      May 5, 2010 at 12:29 AM

  18. NOYNOY IS THE REAL DUDE. Gordon?

    May 4, 2010 at 11:17 PM

    • It’s not arrogance when you’re telling the truth.

Pero look at the results.

      May 5, 2010 at 12:33 AM

      • But theres such thing as manners. Yes, what he is saying is true but theres also such thing as DIPLOMACY. 🙂

        May 5, 2010 at 2:11 PM

We all know na public figures sina Cory at Ninoy kahit anong mangyari maiaassociate natin sila sakanya.. ANAK siya eh, at kung nagawa nila cory at ninoy na maging malaya ang Pilipinas at ipaglaban ang Pilipinas kht pa magbuwis ng buhay, that should count.

ALAM NIA KUNG ANONG MERON BEHIND THE HIGHEST POSITION. alam niang risky, mahirap at challenging dahil nakita nia nanay niang maging presidente, pero dahil pinili sya ng mga TAO, tinanggap nia parin lahat dahil nagmamalasakit siya. It all boils down to this eh.. hindi man xa harvard graduate, hindi man sya ganun katalino pero he has the purest intentions.

and lastly: TRUTH sometimes is relative. for you what he says are all true because you’ve closed your mind. But for me? the truth is what we are experiencing today. Integrity is way more important than competence, this is what most of the Filipinos miss.

        May 5, 2010 at 3:05 PM

      • @Jenny: On all your points above

So what you’re basically saying is because of what Gloria did to us, you wouldn’t be voting for smart people anymore? Baluktot ang reasoning mo ma’am. One wrong deed by one smart official doesn’t represent the rest and I hope you get that.

Integrity is more important than competence? To an extent I agree. How would you say that Dick Gordon’s integrity is questionable? Cite some cases.

And on the Ninoy and Cory case, one reason why I’ve used that above is because yan ang madalas na gamitin ng mga Noy supporters. I’m not generalizing the supporters of Noy as there are others who have presented acceptable points on why they’re voting for him pero ang sayo? Nakakabobo ma’am.. no offense meant.

        May 5, 2010 at 10:08 PM

      • definitely not. sino ba namang ayaw ng matalinong presidente? what im saying is that today, intelligence isn’t as important as before. We are all witnesses of madam gloria, and ferdinand marcos who are both competent and intelligent, no questions asked. But both werent able to lift the hopes of the filipino people, instead they crushed their spirits..OUR spirits.

Im not here para siraan si Mr. Gordon, i know he’s smart, he has this so-called needed “experience”, but his integrity has always been left questionable to me. The best definition of Integrity for me is adherence to moral and ethical principle, soundness of moral character and HONESTY… well dick gordon…. LAGING NANINIRA, if you believe in your candidate so much, why do u think should he still be mentioning this statement “Yan ang magiging presidente niyo, walang track record, namatay ang nanay. Wow. Don’t do anything, have your mother die and win.” -obviously pertaining to N. Aquino

        o nito

“Kaya ako tumakbo dahil WALANG magaling eh”

        o nito

“Ang dami na nila. Akala ko kapag walang korupt walang mahirap. Bakit may korupt pa rin?” – to Aquino clan

bakit kailangan pa magbitiw ng mga ganitong klaseng salita kung may tiwala naman sya na malinis siya, at siya LANG ang karapat dapat. please dont tell me na he’s just telling the truth and opening the eyes of the people cause I am pretty sure He’s NOT as clean as he claims he is, but have you Heard any Ninoy statements which bite Gordon’s back? And dont tell me na Noynoy kasi walang ipagmamalaki, he may not be a harvard graduate but he’s from ateneo and i believe that our educational system especially our universities are as good as that of all over the world.

NoyNoy distributed his 4100 hectares of family-owned land to 10K farmers in the last 10 yrs. and alam nio ba kung bakit na delay? BECAUSE aquinos settled the land’s huge debts just so that the farmers will not incur it.

        May 6, 2010 at 10:34 AM

      • i meant NOYNOY*

        May 6, 2010 at 10:36 AM

      • The way you replied honestly reflects Mr. Gordon.

You really are a true FUCKING Gordon Angel.

        HAHAHAHA. 😀

        May 6, 2010 at 7:10 PM

    • As I’ve said, hindi siya naninira. All that he said is true. It’s not as diplomatic as you guys may want it to be pero it’s true.

One example of paninira is the reports of Noynoy’s problems mentality, yan ang example ng paninira.. dyan ka magalit. Pero pag ang sinabi ng tao ay totoo, tulad ng mga sinabi ni Gordon sa Bandila at kung san man, hindi paninira yun.. it may be a douchebag move, pero it’s true. Even Noynoy and his camp has slinged mud to the other camps, especially against Villar. Noynoy has once replied to Gordon saying “He doesn’t ENTERTAIN QUESTIONS FROM SURVEY TAILENDERS” pero we’re not complaining.

The fact of the matter is, normal yan sa mga kandidato. During elections banatan ng banatan yan and no matter how undiplomatic may it be, basta totoo naman yan, I could care less. Everyone has done it before, Noynoy to Villar, Villar to Noynoy, Erap to Gibo, Jamby to Villar and now that Dick Gordon’s speaking his mind and doing his own share of mind slinging all of a sudden his INTEGRITY is questionable and is a literal dick for it? Baka ikaw ang sarado ang utak ate.

      May 6, 2010 at 1:31 PM

        (to Aquino clan)

Hey, im pretty sure you are aware of how our government works. Aquinos are no match to Gloria’s tentacles. HALOS BUONG PILIPINAS NGA AGAINST GLORIA AND CORRUPTION NA, WALA PARIN NAMAN TAYONG NAGAWA. COrruption is very much practiced until now.

And how in the hell did other aquinos get in this picture anyways?

He doesn’t ENTERTAIN QUESTIONS FROM SURVEY TAILENDERS” pero we’re not complaining. <– and this, these surveys are the TRUTH because we have pieces of evidence.

"What have you done compared to my achievements? How about your performance as a legislator in the house and the senate?"

THIS IS MERELY ATTACKING NOYNOY IN A FORM OF A QUESTION. because we all know that no matter how great Noynoy is when it comes to justifying his contributions, HINDI un sapat for Gordon, kasi gaya nga ng sinabi nia "WALA NAMAN IBANG MAGALING". db?

Kapag si Gordon ang nagsalita ng masakit sasabhin nio "he's just telling the truth?" why dont he leave noynoy alone instead? MAGYABANG SIYA NG MAGYABANG KUNG TALAGANAG ALAM NIANG SYA LANG ANG MAGALING. MAGYABANG SIYA HANGGANG GUSTO NIA BASTA WAG MAGDAMAY NG IBA.

Youve said it, Gordon's kind of a DOUCHE.

        May 6, 2010 at 2:31 PM

      • You didn’t even respond to my questions properly.

All you did was cover up, cover up, cover up. Wala ka na bang ibang alam?

Surveys are the truth?

2000 people? San sila nagtanong? We’re not sure. How can you say that the surveys represents what the Philippines want right now when they’re only asking a mere 2000 people compared to about 50 million voters and we’re not even sure kung san nangaling yung mga tanong na yun. How can you accredit those “Surveys” What are your PARAMETERS?

Attack in the form of question? Hindi ba pwede yun? Noynoy, Dick, Manny Villar or whoever is running for presidency needs to ADDRESS the people on what they’ve done prior to running and the PEOPLE deserve to find out. Then politics is not for you kid, maybe you should go back to watching SNN with your friends.

Walang ibang magaling? Ano gusto mo sabihin nya? Mas magaling sakin itong isang kandidato? Are you seriously that dumb and naive?

If you’re getting offended by Gordon’s “arrogance” then politics is not for you. What Gordon did in the past, it’s his option to brag about, pinaghirapan nya yun. If he feels like questioning the credibility of one candidate by throwing mud at what they’ve done before, that’s his option. Ayun ang lamang nya sa iba, he’s only exploiting it. Noynoy is taking advantage of the achievements of his parents in the “Tuloy ang Laban” slogan, Manny Villar is using the pro-poor campaign through the use of his money and his so called “poor background” and he’s taking advantage of it. Gordon has a CLEAR CUT advantage in terms of track record and now that he’s taking advantage of it you guys are getting buttsore like he fucking harrased you when you are a kid? Grow the fuck up. This is politics, people will throw bombs at each other relentlessly and will grab a hold of any advantage that they can have in order to win. As I’ve said, everybody has done it even your oh so good candidate Noynoy.

If you’re really being offended by what he’s saying then don’t listen to him at all. Ika nga sabi nila, the truth hurts. And if you can’t accept the fact na ganito ang pulitika, then this isn’t for you. I guess you’re standing in the wrong position. If you can’t take the heat, get the fuck out of the kitchen.

        May 6, 2010 at 3:45 PM

      • The way you replied honestly reflects Mr. Gordon.

You really are a true FUCKING Gordon Angel.

        HAHAHAHA. 😀

        May 6, 2010 at 7:16 PM

      • If Gordon wins, were gonna be called the FUCKING FILIPINOS.

cheers mister! i have to leave your blog cause its becoming more and more crazy. Ive learned a lot from it tho 😀

        God bless!

        May 6, 2010 at 7:19 PM

      • Wala ka nang maisagot? Noynoy supporter ka nga. =))

        May 6, 2010 at 9:44 PM

  19. Oo nga, di bale na if Dick is an arrogant, self-absorbed prick! You don’t need your constituents to like you. Really, that would be a boon for the country.

    (–insert sarcasm here–)

    May 5, 2010 at 2:33 AM

    • It’s a matter of how you look at him. If you’re going to be offended with the things that he’ll say like any other butthurt Filipino out there who gets offended everytime they here someone who speaks the truth but not something that they like, then yeah, he’s an arrogant self absored prick.

      May 5, 2010 at 8:35 AM

      • Personally, I have nothing against him. It’s just that Dick is living up to his name, “Dick”, hence the unpopularity. I agree, we should vote for the most competent candidate. But be REAL. Kahit sabihin niyo pang “Huwag tayo padadala sa surveys”… you can’t overturn the minds of the masses in a span of a few weeks or days.

I would go for the next best candidate, Noynoy. meager track record + lots of integrity to uphold + genuine desire to serve. Never mind if it took the passing of a former president, which happened to be his mother, for him to realize this. Not many people know this, but he even refused monetary support from Lucio Tan for his campaign, however humongously helpful it may have been.(Napunta tuloy kay Villar). I may not be an avid fan of Noynoy, but I do believe he can help this country by minimizing what is taken from the people.

Si Gordon, well, hindi pa niya siguro oras.

        May 5, 2010 at 2:24 PM

      • Point taken except for one thing.. surveys

2000 people were asked DAW. Do we have proof that they asked them?

        May 5, 2010 at 2:33 PM

    • ako hindi pa tinatanong sa survey… kayo ba? survey my ass.

      May 6, 2010 at 9:27 AM

    • You have a point there. But If I’m not mistaken, in the previous elections, I recall surveys to be self-fulfilling.

      May 6, 2010 at 6:08 PM

  20. feels weird how you keep saying dick lol.

    May 5, 2010 at 3:25 AM

    • So you felt uncomfortable too? Lol. If I’m gonna put out ads for this blogsite, I don’t know what will pop up, given how many times I used the word “dick” in this entry. hahaha

      May 5, 2010 at 8:41 AM

  21. hahaha! oh anu kayu ngaun?!?!

Dick Gordon is just saying what his achievements are… pagyayabang n b yun??? binebenta lng nya un sarili nya by telling what he had done, is doing and what can he do? It’s just the truth… diba mas mayabang yung sasabihin na maraming nagawa at hinde ako magnanakaw pati yun sabihing mag p-People power ang mga supporters ko pag nde ako nanalo.. dahil dinaya ako! WTF!?!?!

    May 5, 2010 at 3:31 AM

    • Guys, come on! Sa tagal ni Dick Gordon sa pulitika, he’s achievements are incomparable to that of Gibo. But in the duration that Gibo is sitting we can admit that he’s performance is WAY better than GORDON. :))

      May 5, 2010 at 2:13 PM

      • Magaling talaga si Gibo. The best candidate for the Philippines! Very DIPLOMATIC!:)

        May 5, 2010 at 2:23 PM

      • How so, cite some evidences.

Let’s see ang nangyari nung stint nya as NDCC and DND secretary ha..

        – The Ampatuans were able to raise arms, as the secretary of national defense, it’s your job to KEEP THAT FROM HAPPENING

        – Ondoy, Pepeng, kamusta preparation natin? Who was the NDCC chairman nun? Mr. Galing at Talino.

        May 5, 2010 at 10:19 PM

  22. Di naman niya ganong naprove na it’s a MUST to vote for Gordon rather siniraan lang niya yung ibang candidate..

    May 5, 2010 at 3:49 AM

    • It’s not “Paninira” pag totoo ang sinasabi ko.

Here’s an example of paninira: Noynoy Aquino is not mentally stable. But when I say Noynoy Aquino is not yet a proven leader or Joseph Estrada is a fucking EX-CONVICT, hindi paninira yan.. katotohanan po yan.

      May 5, 2010 at 8:37 AM

  23. hahaha. i like the little not at the end. the funny thing is,, only people who actually know what politics or even sarcasm is about will understand your advocacy,, so let’s not VOTE FOR DICK GORDON. cause you know,, who cares if he’s the only one who actually has a stand point and has WOW PHILIPPINES.. and so what if he’s made subic bay one of the most economically stable places in the philippines. so there,, this coming elections,, i won’t vote for him.. you can count on it!

    sarah g

    May 5, 2010 at 4:46 AM

  24. I commend you for this genius blog post! I hope people would vote a candidate not just because of their win-ability but because of good track record and the candidate’s intelligence.

*got your blog link from twitter*

    May 5, 2010 at 7:42 AM

  25. I’m gonna be out for the whole day, pending comments will have to wait. Have a good day people. 😀

    May 5, 2010 at 8:42 AM

  26. why G1BO ? because, he was the past NDCC chairman, who holds the control about the last Ondoy Typhoon. He knows what to do in this situations..

    May 5, 2010 at 9:02 AM

    • right. the same way he knows what to do with GMA after the election when he wins…..IF he wins.

GISING!!! gusto mo ba maging prime minister si gloria?!?!?!?!??!

      May 5, 2010 at 3:08 PM

  27. i love it.. ^_^ and i couldnt agree more.. haha! let’s not vote for dick gordon if we want to prosper! freaking filipinos..! umayos tayo! @_@

    May 5, 2010 at 6:58 PM

    • that is, if we dont want to prosper.. hahahahaha! my bad.. ^_^

      May 5, 2010 at 6:59 PM

REALLY? its not like he killed his mom just so that he could run. GISING!!!!!!

    May 5, 2010 at 7:26 PM

    • Amen! Go noy!

      May 5, 2010 at 7:57 PM

      • @Kala: I don’t know who you’re rooting for really, kanina Go Gibo, ngayon Go Noy? Ano ba talaga chong? lol

In all seriousness though, sa lahat ng points mo na sinabi sa taas, halos lahat baluktot. As I’ve said, I have no problems with Mr.Teodoro, he’s a good choice and even you admitted that Senator Gordon had better achievements than him mainly because he had more years. That’s what you’re not getting. Gibo will get his time and through experience he will be a better leader than he is right now (Let’s just hope he doesn’t get corrupted by the system) but as of now, I’m taking the best choice at Gordon.

        May 5, 2010 at 10:02 PM

  29. yes. i really agree with what you are saying. I’m also for Gordon but unfortunately, I’m still 16 and I cannot vote.

you have lots of points. I’m not really satisfied about the the reasons why people will vote for noynoy and villar. especially ERAP! grabe talaga! how dare erap run for president again. no offense but we should face the reality that he had been already convicted because of plunder. and in fact, he’s too old. he can’t even say things efficiently.

overall, i really believe that all of the candidates have this right intention but there’s someone who has already been proven what he can do in the country. and this someone is gordon. about him being so prank and saying bad words. i know it’s not being a good role model. but he says that. he does those things because he his concerned and this is the way he want to discipline people.

also, i know gordon is not a perfect person like the other candidates, but there are a lot of points to be considered why we should choose gordon. AND PLEASE! don’t compare him with gloria because like what he have said. gloria is just victimized. by the people around her. if you will go back look at the frauds. it’s a lot about her husband and the others. she has been used, but i’m not saying that she’s innocent, ok? that’s the reason why i’m also afraid if noynoy will win. he may also be victimized, especially because his team are the people who has been already serving this country. and those people didn’t also contributed a lot of good things.

another is that, manny’s advertisement is really brainwashing. i, myself also has been carried away by these. hehe. the advertisements target our sympathy. so it’s in the emotional side.

another advice is that, we should not depend on the surveys. we must vote who is really deserving. because a lot of people says that they’ll vote noynoy or villar so that their votes will be useful. but indeed. if people will just vote for them because of the surveys. it’s doing a wrong thing. you don’t want change. you just want to help the candidate and not the whole country.

also, i think bayani will be a good vice president.. there’s a lot about him. senators? hehe. madami eh pero please look on the things they are fighting for.

lastly, i hope you guys will keep being updated and please PLEASE. do not waste your vote. do the right thing and think about the country not only yourself.

    May 5, 2010 at 10:21 PM

  30. I don’t think I could ever stomach voting for Noynoy. If you took a good look at their records,I believe the most competent candidates are Gordon and Gibo.
Its just logic over sentimentality. Plus, watching Noynoy in his campaigns, he reminds me of Goofy. Good intentions but *a’hyuk* not much up there. He’s like a yellow shirted puppet being propped up by Mar Roxas. People argue that because he has a legacy to uphold he’s less likely to stray from the ‘right path’, but he just doesn’t speak with any conviction, he appears to be a wimp and with so much pressure on him to be good, he’ll probably just keel over.
Hmmm.. come to think of it if he does keel over, Mar Roxas has got it made!

    May 5, 2010 at 11:26 PM

  31. Greetings, fellow hifi-er Chris. I have a short comment on this post, but decided to put it in my space instead. Feel free to pay a visit. You know where to find me.

    May 6, 2010 at 12:46 AM

  32. @All: Para maiba naman, masyado nang mainit dito e.

    May 6, 2010 at 2:37 AM

  33. If ONLY DICK shows he is humble enough to admit he is not better than the rest, I would vote for him. Sadly though, HE ONLY LISTENS TO HIMSELF.

    May 6, 2010 at 12:52 PM

    • He’s a closed-minded, conceited person!:)) Vote for someone who deserves the vote, not just because he is old.

      May 6, 2010 at 3:48 PM

    • this is true. Throwing mud at all the other camps is his way of telling how better he is. If that is NOT inappropriate then i dont know what is.

      May 6, 2010 at 7:15 PM

  34. Lets go and save our country! GORDON! GORDON! GORDON!

    May 6, 2010 at 9:41 PM

  35. NOYNOY is just another Aquino. He’s not suited for the change we need. The Philippines is not owned by Ninoy nor that we owe the Aquino family. But now it got worst, the INC owned him.

ERAP is another gamble for the nation with high risk of losing.

G1B0 is not that smart as he claims he is. Especially now that he sold his soul to a lunatic Quiboloy. How’s that? G1b0LoY!!!!!!1,,,jejeje

EDDIE can be the hope of the hopeless who prays to a god that cannot make him win. lame isn’t it?

VILLAR is orange. but i like apples more. hahah. And he’s a TRAPO. If he really can do real change for the nation for the past years in his service, then why are we still in this pathetic plight? I don’t want him to make the Philippines as a country of TUNAY NA MAHIRAP. He’s just flashy, full of talk and all that shit. We don’t want to vote a presidentiable who’d invested millions and millions just to buy a seat. Once seated, he’ll get his payback at all cost!

GORDON. He’s a man who walks his talk. He’s competent and passionate. He’s risking it all, even his senatorial seat just to offer the nation a strong leader that they deserve. Check his sincerity. Check his lifestyle. Check his credentials. Check everything.

For me, I won’t just settle for a lesser evil. Let’s aim for the BEST and the chance of getting a BETTER is high, or if not, you’ll still have someone GOOD enough.

    Enough said. n_n

    Ren Newman

    May 6, 2010 at 9:44 PM

  36. And who exactly deserve the vote? Cite some evidences.

    May 6, 2010 at 9:44 PM

  37. haha.. may mga tao talaga na hindi magaling sa pick up. lol. nice one 🙂 go DICK!

    May 6, 2010 at 10:02 PM

  38. kala no. 😦

    May 6, 2010 at 10:12 PM

Now, you call Noynoy good? Yeah, Good at making promises and Good in using his parents’ name and legacy? Pero para sakin, Opportunist sya, why? Kasi ginagamit nya ang emosyon ng mga tao without proving himself worthy as a competent candidate? In my opinion, wala pa sya ginagawa.

Kung may maisip kayong plataporma nya, o kahit nagawa nya dati, i will never talk against him. eh pero wala eh. ano bang ginagawa sa senate? sa congress? to make bills and pass it as laws. nasan? ano ginawa nya dun? kumuha ng pork barrel? nagreresearch ba kayo? alam nyo bang noynoy is one of the biggest spenders in the senate, san niya ginagamit? masyado kayo nagpapabulag sa mga mababait. kaya hindi tayo umaasenso, masyadong sympathetic sa namatayan. ngayon pala, mamatay lang nanay mo o tatay mo, pwede kana magpresidente kahit wala kang ginawa kundi tumunganga.

Sana magisip lahat ng pilipino, think harder, use your brain and not your emotions. kung ganyan tayo ng ganyan, mamamatay tayo lahat ng walang nangyari sa bansa natin. teka, paano ba naging progressive ang singapore? let us think, dahil ba sa diplomacy? sa pagiging mabait? no, kailangan natin ng ng magdidisiplina satin, hindi yung puro pangako lang.

I don’t know why people today are being less critical, with their decisions to the point that the decisions that they are making, make them really stupid and I pity those people.

THINK and RESEARCH before you vote, so that when you defend your candidates you don’t end up being stupid. We still have time to think. For this country. For your children.

Kudos to the author of this blog. I pity them.

    May 7, 2010 at 12:51 PM

  40. Nah, I still go for Manny Villar, Chris.
You can list all the accomplishments of Gordon here and they’re great, but what about my guy?

He’s still noted as the most prolific senate president ever. On his short stint as a senate president, ilang batas ang napatupad, ilang issues ang naayos?

As a congressman, naging speaker of the house. Ilang batas din ang naipasa nya? Di ba?

Gordon is good, but for me Villar is even better.

You can say all you want on his C5 project extension but for me that’s smart. Man, that.is.smart.

Subic) ??
Kasi kailangan diba? Para kanino ba ang SCTEX? Diba sa mga taga-dun din? Ulit, that.is.smart.

About the Villar “mahirap” issue, goodness, ang daming black propaganda tungkol dyan.

Bottom line. Gordon ka, Villar ako. Not because of their childhood, school, lifestyle or fame. But because of their accomplishments and achievements.
Yung Noynoy dyan sa itaas, may “A” and “A” ba bata mo??

btw, i do agree that our country’s a little bit in trouble if noynoy will win. goodness, kumusta naman ang tarlac ngayon diba? e pano pa kaya kung pilipinas na hahawakan nyan??

    May 7, 2010 at 3:32 PM

  41. Hi bassman500, you sound like my husband. haha!

anyway, sino ba ang hindi magiging arrogant at galit sa lahat ng nangyayari. nagvovolunteer ka ng sumabog ang bulkan, bumaha, bumagyo, pumagitna sa kidnapan sa mindanao, naghanap ng mga bangkay sa mga pinasabog na buildings o nalunod na barko at nakikita mo lahat ng naghihirap at naghihinagpis, and yet people do not appreciate all those efforts and still choose to vote those who have not even done half of what he’s already done.

i don’t care anymore who wins as president, i just want to vote and support gordon, para malaman niya marami palang nakaka-appreciate ng ginagawa niya maging mambabatas man siya or isang common social worker.

    May 7, 2010 at 4:08 PM

  42. I like the sarcasm… but do you have to consistently stress on the faults of other candidates? Do you have to question the things that they have? Have you really worked with this guys that you already know how they work, think and act. You’re blaming the surveys because it is affecting the peoples vote that noynoy is leading followed by erap and villar… but looking at your posts you are also isolating the minds of the readers that noynoy is only good because of his parents, manny villar is good because of his money.

Why not emphasize on the highlights of Gordon’s achievements instead of banging other candidates. I wouldn’t want a president who only criticizes… who concludes that other candidates are not worthy… what if they win? Does it mean Gordon will not work with them because they are not so good because noynoy only have ma and pa, villar is rich and erap is supported by the masses.

villar claims noynoy is abnoy… noynoy is hitting villar as land grabber… erap is hitting villar as a liar… gordon is hitting all 3 as survey buyers and not worthy to be leader because they are only popular… they are all but the same childish and unethical…

now i’m going for GIBO… simple… who always push what he believes is good for the country’s progress and that the “country” is flying high with his leadership… i mean country not just “education” … “teachers”… “nurses”

    May 7, 2010 at 6:47 PM

    • Here’s a thing with Gibo. He’s smart, probably one of those candidates who has the credentials to back him up on his quest for presidency, but what actually did he “successfully” do?

NDCC chairman? After the Ondoy tragedy, what did we learn about the NDCC?? The number of motor boats they own –> less than 20. Number of amphibians they own –> less than 5. Number of life vest they own –> less than 500. Take note, that is NDCC, and they are the disaster council for our whole-freakin-country.

What? You’re saying he’s there “Feeding” and “helping” those who were ravaged by the storm. Syempre, “trabaho” nya yun e. DONATIONS. from US people, and from UN and other countries. Note that MOST of those donations were specifically forwarded to RED CROSS, kasi walang tiwala sa government (ie NDCC).

      Iboboto mo sya??

FYI, sa Valenzuela at Malabon (mga laging binabahang lungsod) meron silang at least 10 amphibians, and at least 10 rubber boats. Bakit ganun?

      May 7, 2010 at 7:34 PM

  43. if you’ll just disregard what they’ve already done from here and there..its an achievement and a proof that they can do something in the future..napaka unfair na you’ll choose ERAP rather than him just because of the figure? mas panget pa si erap men, the way he talk, the way he act, laging pagod..Villar pwede pa, pero takot mo lang dn na sa dami ng ads na ginastos nea, babawiin lang nea yun sa gobyerno..Noynoy is obviously a man of MORALS, could be the better president but still doubtful for what is his stand for his plans and platforms if ever he becomes the president..Kung nung si Cory naging presidente, lumala lang economy and lahat, pno na lang c Noy? tapos ung issue pa sa sarilig hacienda d ayos..please if you’ll just criticize the looks, the Surname or Name and not with his historical records, the good things he has done with Subic as well as his Vice on Marikina..think again..Things will not move if you’ll just look at YOUR OWN PERCEPTION..things will move if you’ll think of the COUNTRY’s FUTURE..puro kayo panlabas at etc. sa dami ng naging Presidentiable forum, tama bang may ERAP kang d marunong sumunod sa instructions..THINK AGAIN..

    May 7, 2010 at 11:54 PM

  44. @rick, your 2nd paragraph implies that we should highlight the achievements of candidates instead of “banging” other candidates, and yet every word after that first sentence strikes me as “banging” other than Gibo, YOUR candidate. It’s funny that the irony doesn’t apply only to the post but to the comments as well. 🙂 That aside, I agree that Gibo is a good choice, but I also agree with the author that Gordon is just as good a candidate.

Let’s just stress the difference between the two: Gordon may have done more for the country compared to Gibo, but let’s also consider the duration of public service each rendered and logically make a tenure:accomplishments ratio. It’s not Gibo’s fault that he’s younger and entered politics later than Gordon, but it’s also not his advantage that he accomplished so much in such short a time as this implies that he is yet to prove that he can sustain such good performance. Seems that he’s had his eyes on the apple from the start, so of course he’d race for it like a hungry dog on morsel. It’s just like exercise, you run fast at first then figured fuck-i’ll-never-be-fit so you go back eating junk. Nobody knows until you’ve proved you can. So before Gibo proves he can lead our nation, what he just holds is a promise because he has the “galing at talino” probably superior than the other candidates (“probably” changes to “definitely” if compared to Noynoy) as well as a clean track record. Though if only for his ability, he deserves the chance to prove himself.

@acer allow me to refresh your memory that the C5 extension project would have been paid using the entire nation’s money for the convenience of the residents living nearby AT TWICE THE COST as the original plan. It’s supposed to connect the southern metro with the rest, but it had to unnecessarily pass through his properties, where he gets a double kick-back for being paid for right of way as well as dramatically increasing the value of his assets. If you think that this extension of C5 is fair because it benefits some constituents anyway, then how come other main highways doesn’t pass through residential areas, like SLEX is a straight line from Nichols to Batangas without snaking through P’que, Alabang, Cavite? How come NLEX doesn’t pass thru MY area in Bulacan, hm? I’m a taxpayer too, am I? There is such a thing as CONFLICT OF INTEREST that every public servant must observe if he wishes to retain the trust of the people. And please don’t compare it with SCTEX, which has far more dark intentions than C5. Why not research a little and know who in the legislature spearheaded its construction and for what reasons? Why not dig through Villar’s business past and open your eyes on peculiar transactions by his banks (yes, he had banks, but where are they now if he really is a fair billionaire?), if his wealth was jumpstarted by his “sipag at tiyaga” from scratch or did he use his wife’s assets to build his empire, without which he wouldn’t be who he is now? And in terms of enacted laws, it’s not the quantity that counts. Are the constitution and existing legislatures not enough? Let’s not forget that what they are running for is an executive position, so implementing the laws will be more their thing by then on top of declaring PDs. I’m more afraid of Villar winning that I am of Noynoy, simply because the former is cunning and the latter is a dimwit.

In my opinion, the nation’s choice should be narrowed down between Gibo and Gordon. Fuck tact. You are all so used with candidates sweet-talking you during campaigns and when someone tells you the truth about what you really need, and that YOU also need to act by voting the right candidate who can walk his talk and not sit there and wait for your president excrete money on your face, you cringe and retreat by watching your zany telenovelas because there, life always ends up good.

Hala, nasan na kasi si Eddie Gil when you need him???

    May 8, 2010 at 4:27 AM

  45. i am for brother eddie villanueva !!

    May 8, 2010 at 9:19 AM

  46. in evaluating & comparing each options (candidates in this case) a RATIONAL person considers both the strength & weaknesses of each options & COMPARE with those with other options to arrive with the best options. he should not close his mind to the truth (both the negative & positive of each options).

Since candidates (who are humans who have the faculty of speaking out for themselves) are competing, it’s their individual legitimate options to highlight both his strength & the weakness/failures of his competitors & to openly refute the other “accusations”. it’s a free discussions/debates that should result to better decision by the voters if only we open our mind.

To me no candidate has successfully refuted GORDON’s claims as the claims are documented/proven
This is why i am choosing GORDON. I also prefer his frankness over the “nice image” others are trying to package themselves which could deceived people.

I learned much more from my previous strict & frank mentor than fr “nice” superiors who didnt care much for my development/improvement than to their image & later stabbing me behind my back.

I can accept GORDOn’s “arrogance” or assertiveness but i cannot accept the the Phil will have a president who is not prepared, wholehearted & has no track record of successful executive leadership

People often complained that a less competent person than them or their relatives has been promoted or awarded just because he is more moneyed, has a popular surname or well connected. They cry PALAKASAN.Why then we will award Noynoy the office of the presidency. Is this not double standard? What’s the incentive for people to excel then? Shall they just look for opportunities to be related (maybe by marriage) to the famous surnames?

To improve, we are taught to benchmark with the successful. I think it’s fair to benchmark/compare what we have achieve so far with what our asean neighbors (like singapore) has achieved. What have they done diffently from us which produces better result than we have?

I think GORDON & BAYANI is espousing the paradigm change we need.So they are the right people to lead us. If we love our country & like it to progress then we NEED to vote for them this May 10.

Gordon’s mature reaction to the current trouble with flash cards indicates further he is the most prepared.
While other candidates call for outright postphonement, blaming, accusing, unrealistic manual counting, he is calling for “focus to solve the problem asap but open to postphonement if needed, saying failure of election is not an option.Fix the problem & not the blame. He even offer to give up his ambition for the presidency if he is needed in the comelec to address the problem. it’s shows humility(in action) & sacrifice for the interest of the nation (greater than his personal interest)

  48. This is not a reverse psychology.
What it just simply means: if dont want progress: dont vote for gordon, if you dont want to be recognized positively in the global scene, dont vote for dick gordon, and if you dont want peace, prosperity, and brighter future, definitely dont vote for dick gordon.
just vote for those who will continue to screw our nations pride and destroy the future of our generation because of those voters who dont care

  49. So Stupid to think!!!
    Why nonoy?
    Why villiar?
    Why Erap?
    Why gibo?

    For just a simply question:

Not even one concrete answer give enough proof of competency when it talks leadership.

  50. wait, has nothing to do with the election but I just can’t let this go:

” I want more doctors to stoop down the level of nurses and work in other countries.”

Do NOT speak of nurses as if there’s is a lower profession than doctors. The two are different professions which our both vital to the community.

    May 9, 2010 at 11:33 AM

    • Yes, doctors are superior to the nurses. Different professions, both vital to the community, but academically, medically, they are the nurse’s boss. Nurses follow orders, doctors make calls. -I know because I have family and friends as nurse.

  51. mr bassman500 sir, you are a representation of the more-informed people of our society, people who can think for themselves.. Sulong GIBO! LIPAD TAYO!

    May 9, 2010 at 8:54 PM

  52. Good, As expected from you. You really do speak fluent sarcasm my dear friend. I really wish we could also vote, but damn we’re still 17 of age. Ahahaha… ;D Let’s just pray to have that deserving one.

    May 9, 2010 at 10:58 PM

  53. PWNED !!! hahaha

  54. first of all, I just wanna say that I’m a fan of you defending your arguments against people who claims and speak of vague topic like “Genuine at Heart”. Like seriously.. Genuine at Heart? In the academic world, if you put that in a rhetorical essay, that is a slap on the face of your school, professor, education of where you’re from. If college students say those kind of things, then Philippine universities arent really doing their job because even though this is considered a blog/rant/informal discussion where vernacular is accepted, the topic is very serious, and I would expect those who claim to give evidence and explanation of what they claim. Simple claim, support, warrant to convince someone a person know’s what he’s talking about and not like you said talking right through her ass. lol.

Im in U.S, and I’ll be voting for the FIRST TIME later at the embassy. I’m 19, this is my generation, the future starts with this generation’s choice and mindset. Dick is 64. Next election, he’ll be 70, this is a perfect time to make change. I just hope the filipino people finds the trust in the system, and not treat the government as if it was a rigged game.

Its been wonderful to read articles, thank God for the internet, someone, somewhere is being educated. I REALLY REALLY REALLY Believe we can change the Tradition of Corruption with Gordon as our leader. Im a little bit emotional and excited coz I can imagine my vote being counted and hey, by simple math.. if you miss 100% of the chances you dont take, then going reluctant for a change means you’ll definitely miss. like I always say to myself while getting oral sex. Go Hard, or Go Home. lol.
